Serious Courts for Serious Performance

Built on a Big Idea. Driven by Community

We’re a Canadian-owned company that turns ambitious visions into spaces where families connect, communities thrive, and kids actually want to go outside. Here’s how we got here, and why we do what we do.

Our Story

It Started With a Tile at a Trade Show

Ian Lintott didn’t set out to build Canada’s leading athletic surface company. He was working in landscaping and organic lawn care when he stumbled across a modular plastic tile at a trade show. Someone mentioned people were using it to build backyard courts.

That was all he needed to hear.

Ian flew to a conference in Chicago hosted by the tile’s manufacturer, came home full of ideas, and in 2012 Total Sport Solutions was born.

In the early days, backyard courts weren’t on most Canadians’ radar. They weren’t something people knew they could have. So TSS didn’t just install courts; they introduced the concept, one conversation and one project at a time. Each successful build became a referral. Each referral became a relationship. And slowly, a small operation out of Oakville grew into a company serving families, clubs, schools, and municipalities from one end of the country to the other.

Today, Total Sport Solutions is recognized as a national leader in athletic surface installation and pickleball growth. As a certified SnapSports authorized dealer and the Official Court Supplier of Pickleball Ontario, we are the team behind some of the most impressive recreational facilities in the country.

But the mission hasn’t changed. We’re still here to help you dream big, and to make sure the finished product exceeds what you imagined.

What We Stand For

We Believe Great Spaces Change Lives

Not in a dramatic way, in the everyday way. The Friday night basketball game in the backyard. The curling club that added pickleball and gave its members a reason to come back in the off-season. The school gym that makes students actually want to show up for phys-ed.

These are the moments we build toward. Every time.

Partnership Over Transaction

We don’t show up to sell you a surface and leave. We listen, consult, and stay alongside you from the first conversation to the final walkthrough and beyond. If something isn’t right, we fix it. That’s not a policy; it’s just who we are.

icon 2

Quality Without Compromise

We are never the lowest price, and we’re proud of that. We only source materials we’d use ourselves, and we install them with the same care we’d bring to our own backyard. Premium quality isn’t a marketing line for us. It’s a standard we hold ourselves to on every single project.

Stress-Free by Design

We know that starting a project of this scale can feel overwhelming. So we handle the complexity, every detail, every decision, every step, so that when our crew wraps up and pulls out of your driveway, all you have to do is play.

Community First

Sport is a vehicle for connection. Every court we build is a place where neighbours meet, families gather, and kids get off their screens. We take that responsibility seriously, and it shapes every decision we make.

Community Involvement

At Total Sport Solutions we are strong believers in giving back to the community and to those less fortunate. Which is why we are proud sponsors of the following charities.

Why TSS

What Makes Us Different

A lot of companies can pour concrete and roll out a surface. Here’s what sets TSS apart.

Full-Service, Start to Finish

From initial consultation and site assessment through design, permits, installation, and final walkthrough, we handle it all. You get one trusted team, one seamless process, and zero headaches.

Built for Canadian Climates

We’re not a southern company trying to adapt to Canadian winters. We’re Canadian, and every product we recommend and install is selected specifically for year-round performance in our climate. Freezing temperatures, spring thaws, summer heat: our installations handle all of it.

Proven Across Every Setting

Backyards in Oakville, Toronto, Mississauga, and throughout the GTA. Curling clubs in Sarnia. School gymnasiums across Ontario. Pickleball facilities hosting provincial championships. Whether you are looking for backyard court builders in the GTA or experienced commercial gym flooring contractors, we bring that breadth of experience to every project we take on.

Honest Advice, Always

If a particular product isn’t right for your space, we’ll tell you. If a different configuration would serve you better than what you originally envisioned, we’ll say so. Our goal is to help you make the best decision, even if that means redirecting you. That’s what trusted advisors do.
